Telling Powerful Stories of Survival

Friday, April 26, 2019 -- The annual Freihofer’s Run for Women 5K features so many inspirational participant stories. We traveled to Saratoga Spa State Park recently to film Kathy Yasenchak of Saratoga Springs, who is recovering from a life-threatening aortic dissection, a serious condition in which the inner layer of the aorta, the large blood vessel branching off the heart, suddenly tears.

On Saturday, June 1, Kathy and her two daughters, Tonya and Tara, along with some friends, will run in the 41st edition on a team called “Kathy’s Comeback."

The agency partnered with Schenectady-based Original Vessel to tell Kathy’s inspirational story.
