PODCAST: Outgoing ACPHS President Talks About the Importance of Social Entrepreneurship, Accomplishments

Monday, June 20, 2022 -- In the latest episode of Occupation Station, outgoing Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences President Dr. Greg Dewey reflects on his eight-year tenure at the college.

Dewey

This includes the formation of The Collaboratory, a “laboratory for collaboration,” which provides programs and services aimed at improving the health of area residents, and the Stack Family Center for Biopharmaceutical Education and Training, the first biopharmaceutical education and training center in the nation to be created by a pharmacy college. However, he is perhaps most proud of the creation of two student-operated pharmacies in “pharmacy deserts.” The pharmacies, located in Albany and Schenectady, N.Y., are prime examples of social entrepreneurship and are designed to have a lasting impact on the communities they serve. Dr. Dewey also shares his plans for retirement.
