The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Barnwell to Host 8/11 Community Day

Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018 — Members of the community are invited to attend The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Barnwell’s Community Day on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018 from 1-5 p.m. in the facility’s front parking lot at 3230 Church St, Valatie, N.Y.

Held rain or shine, the event will feature artisans selling hand-crafted jewelry, homemade soaps, crafts, hand bags, paintings. plants and baked goods. Vendors include Two By Two Zoo, a local petting zoo featuring kangaroos, flying lemurs, monkeys, pythons, parrots and goats; Thirty One Hand Bags; Paparazzi Accessories; Pink Zebra; Combined Life; NY Organic; Trick for Treat (dog collars/leashes); Norwex USA; Honey on the Hudson (candles); Health & Wellness Team 365, and more.“We created this event to support local companies, as well as give our residents a chance to interact with the local community,” said Bridget Delcoure, director of recreation, The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Barnwell.

Community Day will also feature local food vendors, stone painting, DJ Jack Bogarski, a 50/50 raffle table with proceeds benefiting the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, and a truck display by the Valatie Fire Department.
