Richelle Strube: In Memoriam

Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019 -- We are deeply saddened to announce the passing today of our former colleague Richelle Strube (Gentile) after a courageous battle with cancer.

Richelle, 54, was one of our first hires back in 1996 when the firm was known as Rueckert & Shanley, and her diverse professional skills quickly become the backbone of the agency.

Besides answering the phones and being able to recognize about 50 clients’ voices without having to ask for their names, the longtime Rotterdam resident also handled the payables and receivables and served as an account executive on a lot of client jobs that required a quick turnaround.

"It was an absolute pleasure to have her on staff," recalled Rueckert Advertising President Dean Rueckert, adding that Richelle served as his administrative assistant for more than 18 years. "She loved life and fought courageously to extend hers right to the end." 

When she wasn’t at the agency, Richelle adored spending time with her beloved husband, Jimmy, and her sons, Kyle and Gannon, as well as working as a freelance certified aerobics instructor.
