Hometown Health Centers' CEO Honored by Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

Monday, May 14, 2018 — Joe Gambino, CEO of Hometown Health Centers (HHC), received an honorary degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) at the college's 138th commencement ceremony held Saturday at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. As CEO of HHC since 2009, Gambino oversees one of the Capital Region's top-rated medical and dental facilities. HHC provides care to 20,000 children and adults at four health center sites in Schenectady and Amsterdam, including two school-based health centers. With pharmacy services so connected to healthcare, Gambino partnered with ACPHS to bring College Hometown Pharmacy to HHC. The pharmacy, which opened in 2016, is one of two student-operated pharmacies managed by the college and serves a large and growing medically underserved population.
