Telling Powerful Stories of Survival

Friday, April 26, 2019 -- The annual Freihofer’s Run for Women 5K features so many inspirational participant stories. We traveled to Saratoga Spa State Park recently to film Kathy Yasenchak of Saratoga Springs, who is recovering from a life-threatening aortic dissection, a serious condition in which the inner layer of the aorta, the large blood vessel branching off the heart, suddenly tears.

"One Good Story" Shines Light On ACPHS Students and Alumni

Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 -- Now is a time of great change in the American healthcare system. Access has become a national imperative, and new policies and practices are being developed to create a value-based system focused on patient outcomes. Traditional roles of point-of-care providers are also evolving, and there is increased dependence on interprofessional teams and information technology. Additionally, advances in life sciences are providing new and sophisticated therapies and diagnostics that enable the dream of personalized medicine.
